AKB48 has lost 2 of its members today. Natsumi Hirajima of Team B and the sub-unit Watarirouka Hashiritai 7 and Rumi Yonezawa of Team K both announced today that they will be leaving the group.
Both girls wrote farewell messages on the official AKB48 site. They both apologized for their sudden departure and thanked their fans for all of their love and support throughout the year. Rumi also stated that she would continue her activities as an individual.
Neither of the girls stated the reason for the surprise withdrawal from the group.
